Digimon Franchise Reveals Poll Winners for Best Episodes of 1st 4 Digimon Anime Series – Interest

To celebrate “Digimon Day” on August 1—marking the anniversary of when the original season’s story begins—the Digimon franchise has unveiled the results of its global “Sekai ga Erabu Digimon Anime 4 sakuhin Best Episode” poll. Fans worldwide voted for their favorite episodes across the first four installments of the series: Digimon Adventure, Digimon Adventure 02, Digimon Tamers, and Digimon Frontier.

Alongside the poll results, Toei Animation announced a special compilation television series titled Digimon Bokura ga Eranda Best Adventure. Fuji TV is set to broadcast these fan-voted favorite episodes starting October 4 at 9:00 a.m. JST (October 3 at 8:00 p.m. EDT).

The global vote highlighted the top 11 episodes for each of the four featured series:

For Digimon Adventure, episode 54 (“The Fate of Two Worlds”) captured the number one spot. It was followed by episode 21 (“Home Away from Home”) in second place and episode 37 (“Wizardmon’s Gift”) in third.

In the sequel series Digimon Adventure 02, episode 21 (“The Crest of Kindness”) claimed first place. Episode 50 (“A Million Points of Light”) and episode 13 (“His Master’s Voice”) rounded out the top three in second and third place, respectively.

Digimon Tamers fans chose episode 43 (“Beelzemon’s Big Day”) as their top choice. They selected episode 35 (“Give a Little Bit”) for second place and episode 51 (“Such Sweet Sorrow”) for third.

For Digimon Frontier, pivotal episodes from the latter half of the season swept the top three positions. Episode 50 (“End of the Line”) took first place, followed by episode 48 (“The Brothers Yin and Yang”) in second, and episode 35 (“Takuya and Koji’s Evolution Revolution”) in third.

The enduring franchise traces its roots back to the release of the original Digital Monster virtual pets in 1997, followed by the debut of the Digimon Adventure television series in 1999. Over the decades, the universe expanded through numerous sequels and spin-offs—including Digimon Adventure 02 (2000–2001), Digimon Frontier (2002–2003), Digimon: Data Squad (2006), Digimon Fusion (2010), Digimon Universe: App Monsters (2016), and Digimon Ghost Game, which ran for 68 episodes from October 2021 to March 2023.

More recently, the franchise launched DIGIMON BEATBREAK, a brand-new television series that premiered on Fuji TV and other networks in October 2025. Crunchyroll has been streaming the series alongside its broadcast, alongside an English dub rollout.

Looking ahead, an entirely new Digimon anime project is scheduled to premiere next year.
